Judge grants Amber Heard domestic abuse restraining order against Johnny Depp after she posts picture of herself bruised

Amber Heard has been granted a domestic abuse restraining order against Johnny Depp after attending court with a bruised face.

The actress, 30, has a reddened face around her right eye in the snap – published by People – which she has allegedly submitted to support her divorce petition following her split from Depp, 52, on Monday.

Amber attended court in LA with her lawyer today where she showed a judge the picture and claimed her ex ‘smashed his iPhone on her face’.

She claims to have video footage of an attack by Depp, who did not attend court with Amber.
Amber Heard shows bruises she claims were inflicted by Johnny Depp. Heard alleges the bruise around her eye was inflicted by Depp on May 21. She claims Depp smashed his iPhone in her face. Heard went to court in LA on Friday with her lawyer, with photos showing various bruises. Sources connected to Depp told TMZ Heard is “an affront to real victims of domestic violence.”

A source allegedly told People that the supposed iPhone attack ‘was not an isolated event’ and that the alleged beating ‘was only the latest incident’.

But TMZ have made the point that Amber never filed a police report, and that she posted Instagram pics after the alleged beating which did not show any injury.

At court the judge also granted Amber the right to live in the family home but rejected her request to keep Johnny away from at least one of their dogs, saying there was ‘an insufficient showing to protect the pet dog’.

Her request to take possession of their Range Rover and force Depp to have anger management therapy were also rejected.

A domestic violence restraining order is a court order that endeavours to protect people from abuse, or threat of abuse, from someone they are close to.

Earlier this week Depp said he hoped his divorce from Amber – allegedly caused by a rift between her and his family – would be ‘over quickly’.

On Thursday, a rep for Depp released the statement: ‘Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life.

‘Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.’

He and Amber were married for 15 months after meeting on the set of The Rum Diary.

Amber cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ when she filed for divorce – a move which ended Johnny’s third marriage to date.

Johnny and Amber’s reps did not immediately reply to requests for comment from Metro.co.uk.
